Smirnoff Underbelly

www.smirnoffunderbelly.co.uk

The Smirnoff Underbelly is a venue at the Edinburgh Festival. From its start in 2001, it has become one of the most successful venues on the Fringe. In 2005, we had around 140 different productions appearing in 10 performance spaces with 4 bars. Our programme is a strong mix of comedy, theatre and live music (in conjunction with Forth One 97.3FM). In 2004, our programme has already achieved 2 Fringe First Awards, the winner and another nomination for the Perrier Award and a nomination for the Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award. As a director of the venue, the website is one of my prime responsibilities and has grown to encompass several hundred pages and several thousand files over the last four years.

Double Edge Drama

www.doubleedge.co.uk

Currently homeless because of Double Edge Drama's relative inactivity, this site charts the history of Double Edge Drama, a theatre company founded in 1991 to take young people to the Edinburgh Festival. I myself was one of the five founders of the company and produced a number of shows in its early years. Since then a number of people have passed through the company, although the company is much smaller now than in its prime in the mid-90s. Apart from one year in 2003, Double Edge Drama has been ringing shows to the Edinburgh Festival every year since 1991. Once I find a suitable host for the site it will be online again.
